LAS VEGAS (March 9, 2026) — Founding donors and community leaders gathered Monday for an update on the progress of Campus for Hope, the transformative project designed to address the root causes of homelessness in Southern Nevada through comprehensive, coordinated services.
“Boyd Gaming has been a part of the southern Nevada community for more than 50 years now, and our Company is deeply committed to the well-being of this community and all of its residents,” said Keith Smith, Campus for Hope Board Member. “Campus for Hope will provide a critically important resource to some of the most vulnerable members of the southern Nevada community, by providing the assistance needed to help them break free of the cycle of homelessness. Boyd Gaming is honored to to stand with the broader business community across southern Nevada and support the Campus for Hope vision. We look forward to its opening in 2028.”
During the meeting, Campus for Hope Board Chair Craig Billings welcomed attendees and reaffirmed the organization’s mission to create compassionate pathways to stability for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Campus for Hope CEO Kim Jefferies shared an update on the campus and provided an overview of the organization’s Request for Partnership process, which will identify nonprofit partners who will deliver critical, comprehensive services on campus when the facility opens. The updated master plan was shared by Jason Andoscia, Managing Principal of TSK, architects for the project, and Chris Creasey, Suffolk Vice President and Vincent Tatum, Grand Canyon Development Partners shared an overview of the project, timeline and construction progress to date.
“We are deeply grateful to our founding donors and partners who believe in the vision of Campus for Hope,” Jefferies said. “Because of their commitment, we are turning that vision into reality and building something revolutionary and transformative for Southern Nevada. This campus will help thousands of people find stability, regain independence and rediscover purpose in the years ahead.”
Project architects TSK and owner’s representative Grand Canyon Development Partners also provided an update on construction planning and unveiled new renderings that illustrate the vision for the campus. The designs highlight a thoughtfully planned environment intended to provide dignity, safety and opportunity for individuals working to rebuild their lives.
“Campus for Hope represents what is possible when a community joins together with compassion and purpose to address one of its most urgent challenges,” said John Fish, Chairman and CEO of Suffolk. “We are honored and privileged to play a role on a project that will restore dignity, create opportunity and deliver hope for individuals and families who need it most. We are grateful to the donors, civic leaders, partners and stakeholders whose collaboration and commitment are making the vision for Campus for Hope a reality. Together we are demonstrating when an entire community leads with care, we can build solutions that transform lives for the better.”
When completed, Campus for Hope will offer approximately 900 beds and integrated services designed to help individuals and families address the underlying causes of homelessness and move toward stability and independence. The campus will bring together housing, healthcare, employment resources and supportive programming in one coordinated environment.
The project remains on schedule with a planned opening in 2028.
